Kakistocracy

Oh what a lovely war, oh what an awful year

and low it came to pass...

Our lives are run by a Kakistocracy, people who are least qualified, the worst, and most unscrupulous individuals. What was the final straw, was the honours bestowed by "Lettuce Liz", the UK's shortest, in tenure, Prime minister. A woman who modelled herself on Margaret Thatcher, using an ideology that was well past it's prime.

We now have Rishi Sunak, and a cabal of ineffective cabinet ministers, and it looks like we may have a May 2024 election. It may also come to pass that the Conservative Party may be obliterated in the polls?

The UK have supported the Ukraine, and let's hope that that support continues, if Donald Trump gets in next year who know...

On the climate front the world has experienced freak weather and we are not willing to tackle a climate emergency. But there is hope. I hope the younger generation will see the emergency for what it is and generate change, before it is too late.

Somehow I doubt if 2024 will be any better? On a personal note 2023, was scary on a personal level, and in a wider sense. We need a human revolution, we need to change and I am filled with cautious optimism. Change will come because if it doesn't we as a society, and as human beings are drinking in the last chance saloon.

On that note, I hope everyone has a happy and prosperous new year.
