How life can sometimes hang by a metaphorical thread or a spoken word.

I suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis, and it is a nasty illness, and after many treatments it was decided that I needed infusions of a drug to try and stop the progression of the illness. Someone once said that this infusion is like drinking at the last chance saloon. However that phrase nearly became reality? Maybe I did drink at the last chance saloon, but in a different expected way?

A couple of days ago I suffered from an allergic reaction to the drug I was being infused with. I couldn't breathe I erupted into a rash, and felt like my time had come. I felt quite serene even though everything around me was seen in greyscale and I struggled to breathe.

I thank those who helped me through that traumatic time, but sometimes people have to listen carefully to what people say. In essence, life depends on it. Quite possibly my days as a flâneur could have been over?

Maybe that is a rather dramatic and rash statement.

Me being really rash?!
